RIP Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie) of GWAR

Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope and the staff of Psychopathic Records were sad as fuck this morning to hear of the death of our homie Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus of GWAR). We are still completely in shock to hear about this as Oderus was recently an awesome guest on “ICP Theater.” Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dave’s family and friends. We know you’re causing all kinds of mayhem and chaos up in Shangri-La, monstrous homie! You will be sadly missed. RIP, Oderus Urungus.

This morning, Violent J gave the following statement to Billboard: “”I am devastated to hear of the passing of Oderus Urungus (Dave Brockie). GWAR are true pioneers of the underground and without them there would have been no blueprint on how to do-it-yourself in the world of music. Oderus was one of our true heroes and he recently appeared on ‘ICP Theater’ and we had plans to do a Halloween tour together. His passing is a terrible loss to the world and we will miss our friend greatly.”
