Here’s some dope international news, ‘Los and ‘Lettes! There is a mad exclusive film festival called the Protoclip Festival that is based out of Paris. They get tooons of music video submissions and first they narrow them down to only 50 videos, then they present those selections to the public for voting.

Well, the reason we’re explainin’ all of this to you is because the Insane Clown Posse’s music video for “Chris Benoit”, directed by The Deka Brothers, was one of the 50 selected videos! This is really dope for everyone around Psychopathic Records because we had such an amazin’ time workin’ with The Deka Brothers on this video. The Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records have kept their word and filed a lawsuit against the FBI on behalf of the Juggalo Family TODAY!

Everyone remembers back in August at The 2012 Gathering of the Juggalos when Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope announced to the ‘Los and ‘Lettes that they would be suing the FBI because Juggalos were unjustly called a gang in its 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment. They said they would be fightin’ for the family’s rights no matter how much time or money it took! And now today, September 25th, 2012, ICP and Psychopathic have made those promises a reality by officially filing their lawsuit against the FBI!

Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records’ legal counsel, Hertz Schram PC, has released the following statement:

“Hertz Schram PC, by Howard Hertz and Elizabeth Thomson, on behalf of Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records, has filed suit against the FBI in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, alleging the FBI’s violation of the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) for its failure to produce any documentary evidence in support of the FBI’s classification of the groups’ fan base, the Juggalos, as a gang in the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment: Emerging Trends.”

In case you’re out of the loop, Juggalos were listed as a “gang” in the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment under “non-traditional gangs.” The idea of calling the Juggalos and Juggalettes a “gang” is straight up bullshit. We are not a gang! We are a family! We come together for our luv of the Insane Clown Posse, Psychopathic Records, and our Juggalo pride. Can we take a fuckin’ second to note that Jimmy Buffet’s Parrot Heads, Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, Justin Bieber’s Beliebers, the Grateful Dead’s DeadHeads and many more haven’t been labeled as a gang?

Really, this is the first time in the history of rock-n-roll that any music fans have been labeled as a “gang” and that’s probably because it makes no damn sense! But no matter how fuckin’ cracked out it is there have still been a lot of Ninjas who have been gettin’ shit for their Insane Clown Posse apparel, Hatchetman tattoos, and for showing support to The Hatchet. That’s what happens when music fans are lumped in with the Aryan Brotherhood, Bloods, Crips, and the Latin Kings. Juggalos are fans of music – not hardened, organized gang members! And that is why the Insane Clown Posse, Psychopathic Records, and their legal team are fighting for YOU!

Self-proclaimed Juggalo Lawyer, Farris F. Haddad, who is also a legal advisor in this matter, states that:

“The FBI either does not have much information backing up their labeling of Juggalos as a national street gang, or if they do, it is so flimsy they are certainly hesitant to share it — Because music fans are, simply, not the same thing as a gang.”
